Mythology

As the emancipation of the Amrit Kumbh, Indraprutta 'Jayant' flew into the sky about the Amrit-kalash by the behest of the deities. After that, according to the order of Dainikguru Shukracharya, the demons followed Jayant to withdraw the nectar, and after heavy labor they caught Jayant in the middle of the road. Thereafter, there was an uninterrupted war for twelve days in the Dev-Demons for empowerment of Amrit kalash.

During this mutual encounter, drops of nectar dropped from four different places (Prayag, Haridwar, Ujjain, Nashik) of the earth.
