15 August 2024 English Speech : 15 अगस्त पर अंग्रेजी में भाषण

Honorable guests, teachers, and my dear friends,

Today is a day of pride for every Indian. 15th August… Independence Day… Call it by any name. But if you don't remember the brave soldiers of India while calling those names, then think again. Because the freedom we are celebrating today is because of them.

The blood of martyrs of the country has brought color

The name of freedom is jumping in the world

Through these lines of Firaq Gorakhpuri, we salute all those freedom fighters who fought to liberate the country without caring about their lives.

Sare Jahan Se Achcha, Hindustan Hamara,

Hum Bulbule Hain Iski, Ye Gulistan Hamara

These lines remind us how great and full of diversity our country is. The culture, language and traditions of our country give us a unique identity. And how long have we struggled for this identity. 1-

Respected Principal, teachers, all the guests present here and all my dear friends…

First of all, I wish you all a very Happy Independence Day. Today we all have gathered here to celebrate the 78th Independence Day. The whole country is immersed in the celebration of the anniversary of independence. This year the Government of India is celebrating Independence Day under the theme 'Developed India'. Through this theme, the Government of India is focusing on making the country a developed nation by 2047.

Friends, the auspicious day of 15th August holds the most importance in the political history of India. 15th August is the day when the country was freed from the shackles of 200 years of slavery of the British. A lot of atrocities were committed on the people of the country during the British rule. Hundreds of freedom fighters sacrificed their lives to free the people of the country from the atrocities of the British rule. In such a situation, this day is also to remember the sacrifice of those great revolutionaries and freedom fighters who put everything at stake to get the country freedom. Many revolutionaries and freedom fighters like Mahatma Gandhi, Subhash Chandra Bose, Bhagat Singh, Mangal Pandey, Rajguru, Sukhdev, Jawaharlal Nehru, Lala Lajpat Rai, Bal Gangadhar Tilak played an important role in liberating the country. This day is to salute and pay tribute to all these revolutionaries and freedom fighters.

Friends! 15th August comes every year and awakens the feeling of 'we are free and will remain free' in our hearts and minds. This biggest national festival creates a stir of nation and nationalism. It tells the account of what the nation lost and what it gained in the year. A sense of duty for Mother India and the independent power of India is awakened.

Let us salute the national flag. Repeat our resolve towards the welfare of the nation. Take a pledge to always remain dedicated towards the development and security of the country and the welfare of the countrymen. Now I would like to conclude my speech. Once again Happy Independence Day to all of you.

Example 2-

The reason for our gathering today is very important because today is Independence Day. This is the day when the efforts of our great leaders like Mahatma Gandhi, Jawaharlal Nehru, Bhagat Singh, Subhash Chandra Bose, Sardar Patel and many others were successful. Our dream of getting independence was fulfilled on 15th August 1947. It is time to promote such activities that are useful for our country. We need to understand the true meaning of freedom.

Freedom does not mean that you can do anything you want freely but it is the name of freedom to feel, speak, learn, perform and live your life. It gives us the power and courage to tell anyone that you are doing wrong things. We should promise to do such actions that make us a good patriot and a good resident of our country. We should plant trees and keep our country clean and safe. We should make our country the best liveable area in the world. Let us work together for India. Thank you!
