1) Shri V. 5) Vedika Bhansali from India won the Girls 9-year category title at the US Kids World Championship in Pinehurst Village with a bogey-free 4-under 32 in her final round, finishing at 10-under overall.
6) INS Tamal, the Indian Navy’s newest stealth frigate, has completed a port call at Casablanca, Morocco, from 6-9 Aug 2025 during her return voyage to India.
➨Commissioned in Russia on 1 Jul 2025, INS Tamal is transiting back to her home base via multiple European and Asian ports, advancing India’s maritime diplomacy and reinforcing bilateral ties.
➨ INS Tamal is the third Indian Naval Ship in the last two years to visit Casablanca.
7) Indian women wrestlers secured two gold medals at the 2025 U17 World Wrestling Championships in Athens. Gold winners were Rachana (43 kg) and Ashwini Bishnoi (65 kg). The team also won 3 silver and 1 bronze medal.
8) India partnered with the UN World Food Programme to launch a rice fortification and supply chain project in Nepal under the India-UN Global Capacity Building Initiative, to be implemented in three phases over 12 months.
9) In an important step to break language barriers in India’s innovation space, the Atal Innovation Mission (AIM) under NITI Aayog and Bhashini, a division of the Ministry of Electronics and IT, signed an agreement in Delhi.
